Actress and host Pearle Maaney said in an interview that Manju Warrier is one of the reasons why she said yes to 'Jo and the Boy' without any second thoughts. She agreed to the movie as soon as she heard Manju Warrier was playing the lead in it.
Pearle says that she has been a fan of the actress since her childhood. Manju's character in the movie 'Summer in Bethlehem', Amy seems to Pearle as her real life persona. The actress had played a journalist in 'Jo and the Boy' who helps Jo and vice versa. Pearle hopes to do more movies.
