Manjima and Gautham Karthik's relationship was speculated by the media even before they made it official. Many rumours were rife that Gautham Karthik and Manjima Mohan were in a live-in relationship. Though the couple did not react to those rumours, after the wedding, Manjima has now opened up about it.

Manjima addressed rumours about their relationship. A lot of stories in the media indicated that the couple had been living together for the last three years. Ask her about this and pat comes the reply, “During the pandemic, I was alone at my house and he was at his place with his mom. The media just decided to write whatever they want because they saw us together in public. It wasn’t true that we’ve been living together for the last three years but we just let it be."

For the unversed, Manjima and Gautham had first worked together on the film, Devarattam. However, they did not fall in love on the film sets. Instead, they bonded a year later and have been in a steady relationship for three years now.

Ahead of their wedding, Manjima and Gautham met the media and thanked them for their support. Speaking about their relationship, the Rangoon actor said, "Ours is not a great love story. I proposed to Manjima and she took two days to agree. Now, we have decided to get married. Our families are extremely happy with our decision."
