After the confession given by one of the accused in the Pollachi sexual abuse case, Manivannan CBCID Police has filed a new FIR. The sensational Pollachi sexual abuse case started with the complaint of sexual harassment filed by a college student which lead to the arrest of four men Thirunavukarasu, Sabari Rajan, Sathish and Vasanthakumar.

The videos featuring these men had turned viral and created shock waves across the state, and initially CBCID investigation was launched, and after protests, the case was handed over to CBI, and even then the case was not progressing. In another case where Bar Nagarajan, Manivannan and their friends were accused of attacking the complainant girl's brother, they were searched.

Recently Manivannan surrendered to police and revived the Pollachi sexual abuse case which was not making any progress as he made a confession that he had also sexually abused many women at Thirunukarasu's place and they had filmed the incidents, along with the 4 accused. Following this, a new FIR has been filed against all of them by CBCID police. and further investigations are on.
