Several weeks ago it was announced that after the release of 'Thaarai Thappattai', director Bala will be making a multi-starrer with Arya, Vishal, Atharva, Aravind Swamy and Rana Daggupati in lead roles.

Now we learn from reliable sources that actress Manisha Koirala has been roped in for an important role in this film. Bala is also in talks with Anushka for a female lead role and the actress is trying to work out her date schedule as she has already committed for director S.S.Rajamouli's 'Baahubali 2' which will take a long period to complete. We will have to wait for the final word on Anushka taking up Bala's film.

There are widespread reports suggesting that Bala has taken up the story of 'Kutraparambarai' the dream project of veteran director Bharathiraja.

In the 20th century, the English rulers imposed the Kutraparambarai` Law on certain communities in Tamil Nadu This paved way for men belonging to those communities faced enormous travails and torture from Police department. The law was revoked only after various forms of protest by people under the leadership of political icons like Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar.

Bharathiraja had said that his film career would not attain fulfilment if he does not make Kutraparambarai` a story that happened when the above-mentioned law was in existence. In 2007, he also announced that he will be teaming up with music director Ilaiyaraja after a long gap for this film. However the plan had to be dropped later as he could not find a producer who can afford such a mega budget project.

Bala who has taken up the film on Kutraparambarai` is rumored to be in talks with big production houses like Lyca and AGS Entertainments.

But we cannot conclude anything about the story or script of Bala`s film until the film starts rolling.
