'Manikarnika' release date announced

'Manikarnika', the Hindi-Telugu-Tamil biopic of Rani Laxmibai, was this evening launched in the holy town of Varanasi. The launch ceremony was held ritualistically. Kagna Ranaut, who is playing the titular role, was seen in a traditional wear like all others.
The film will hit the screens on April 27, 2018, exactly a year after 'Baahubali-2' hit the screens. Like the Rajamouli magnum opus, this one too is written by Vijayendra Prasad, whom the Hindi audience know better as the writer of 'Bajrangi Bhaijan' as much as 'Baahubali'.
To be produced by Kamal Jain, it is written (dialogues and lyrics) by Prasoon Joshi. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy are the music directors. It's presented by Zee Studios.
