Mani Ratnam's next choice: Samantha

It is known that Mani Ratnam is planning a movie with Karthi's son Gowtham as the lead. The latest buzz is that he is keen on choosing Samantha for the role of the female lead. Only a few days back, Sonam Kapoor's name was heard but it is said that since the actress is busy with a handful of films, she is not able to allot dates for Mani's film.

Left with no choice, the director has sought Samantha. The news is not confirmed. The movie is scheduled to go on the floors in June.

Samantha is, meanwhile, happy to be part of Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. She is all the more happy because she is cast opposite Mahesh Babu for the second time. She has attributed the success of Dookudu to the starry presence of Mahesh in the film. Mincing no words, she says that the film has been such a huge hit only because of his acting.
