Mani Ratnam's Kadal aims at November

It seems Mani Ratnam is planning on releasing 'Kadal' in November and has reportedly announced this at an event in Pondicherry. However, it can't be said whether he's planning on releasing it along with Thupaki and Vaalu for Diwali or is aiming at a solo release in November.

Starring debutants and star kids, Gautham Karthik and Tulasi Nair, 'Kadal', as the title suggests is set on the fisher folk and their encounters in the seas. Tulasi is said to play a girl of her age in the film. Both the actors’ faces have been guarded from the media.

Music is by AR Rahman, of course. The film marks Mani Ratnam’s comeback to a Tamil film and a romantic one after several years.
