It's known that director Mani Ratnam's next with Karthi and Sai Pallavi will be a romantic entertainer. The film will go on the floors in September. The director's Madras Talkies has teamed up with Sri Thenandal Films. In the past 25 years Mani Ratnam has been producing all of his films under his Madras Talkies banner while a few of them have had the association of other production banner. The recent example is 'Kadal' which was produced by Madras Talkies and Gemini Film Circuit.

A.R.Rahman will handle the musical score while Ravivarman has been roped in for the cinematography.

With Karthi becoming more popular and familiar after Oopiri, and Sai Pallavi have a familiarity with a section of the youth audience, guess Mani Ratnam will strike gold, better than he did with OK Bangaram.
