Acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam today reportedly suffered a heart attack. This afternoon, he was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai's Thousand Lights locality.
At the time of writing this piece, no statement has been made by his family members. The doctors are yet to give an update about the director's health status. He has a history of heart-related problems.
The 'Roja' and 'Bombay' director was recently done shooting 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' ('Nawab' in Telugu), which is currently in post-production phase. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu, Arvind Swamy, Arun Vijay, and Aditi Rao Hydari.
