Mani Ratnam's next with Vijay, Vikram and Simbu?

Mani Ratnam came back with a bang delivering the blockbuster hit 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' starring Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay and Arvind Swamy. He is right now busy giving the finishing touches to his longtime dream script - an adaptation of Kalki's 'Ponniyin Selvan'.

Reports trickling in suggests that Mani Ratnam is keen to have a huge star cast headlined by Vijay, Vikram and Simbu and the same sources swear that all three have given their nod and filming will begin in mid-2019. It may be recalled that Vijay already signed on for the same project a few years back but due to unavoidable reasons, it did not take off.
