Mani Ratnam after delivering the super hit multistarrer 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' is busy with two projects currently. One is said to be the big screen adaptation of Ponniyin Selvan starring Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Simbu, Aishwarya Rai Bachan and Amitabh Bachan.

Mani Ratnam is also writing the screenplay dialogues and producing a new film under his Madras Talkies banner to be directed by his former associate Dana who debuted with the critically acclaimed 'Padaiveeran'. The as yet untitled film has Vikram Prabhu in the lead with Aishwarya Rajesh playing his sister and Madonna Sebastian his love interest.

The latest addition to the Mani Ratnam project is star couple Sarathkumar and Radhika who have signed on for pivotal roles. Sarathkumar has already acted as hero in 'Dasarathan' produced by Mani Ratnam and Radhika has acted in his direction in 'Pagal Nilavu'.
