The Mani Ratnam- A.R. Rahman magical combo that started way back in 1992 with 'Roja' has been going strong for the past three decades and there is many more to come. The duo are currently working in the multistarrer 'Ponniyin Selvan' that has Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha and Jayaram among other leading stars.
Rahman is currently in Dubai involved with his Firdaus Studio there and recently Isaigniani Ilayaraja paid a visit there and promised to compose music to be played there on the former's request.
Rahman in a recent chat has revealed that he invited Mani Ratnam to Dubai for a change and he too visited him. He added that they composed a few background scores for 'Ponniyin Selvan'. The first part of the film 'PS-1' produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies is set for release on September 30th this year and Mani Ratnam is said to be super excited with the extensive post production work.
