Mani Ratnam moves from Kerala to MP

Director Mani Ratnam has resumed shooting for his movie tentatively titled 'Ravana' (being made simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi) in the forests of Madhya Pradesh.

The first schedule of the movie was shot in Kerala and after a break for the New Year, the whole cast and crew have assembled for shooting in Madhya Pradesh. The Hindi version features Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Bachchan, Prithviraj, Karthik, Priyamani and Prabhu in the lead roles, while in Tamil Vikram would be replacing Abhishek Bachchan.

The movie has musical score by A R Rahman and Manikandan cranking the camera. A song sequence is currently being shot in Madhya Pradesh. Mani Ratnam is planning to shoot next in rural parts of Tamilnadu. They have zeroed in on few parts of Kumbakonam, where grand sets would be erected and the movie would be shot.
