As we had reported earlier, director Mani Ratnam's next film will have Karthi and Sai Pallavi of 'Premam' fame in the lead roles. Last week we had reported that the ace filmmaker is stationed in Kodaikanal, giving final touches to the script of the film .

Now we learn from a reliable source close to the director that the shooting of this film will begin in the month of June. Karthi's 'Thozha' will be hitting the screens on March 25 and shooting for his next film 'Kaashmora' which is expected to be wrapped by summer. So Karthi will be available to join the shoot of Mani Ratnam's film by the month of June.

Isaipuyal A.R.Rahman will be scoring music for this flick while the official announcement on cast and crew members are expected soon.

It is worth recalling that Karthi had worked as an AD to Mani Ratnam in the 2004 film 'Aayudha Ezhuthu' which had Suriya as one of the male leads.
