Director Mani Ratnam's 'Kaatru Veliyidai' is getting released amid huge expectations on Friday (April 7), The film starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles has acquired a Entertainment Tax Exempt status offered by Tamil Nadu Government for U certified Tamil films that fulfill certain criteria.

Already there is huge pre-release buzz for 'Kaatru Veliyidai' as always for a Mani Ratnam directorial. The number of theaters and the advance booking denote a highly positive trend towards a great opening. Karthi plays a fighter pilot Varun and Aditi a dentist Leela Abraham in this film touted to be a romance. RJ Balaji, Delhi Ganes and Rukmini Vijayakumar have played the other important roles.
