Director Mani Ratnam's 'Cheliyaa' ('Kaatru Veliyidai' in Tamil), which was supposed to be released in March, will now be hitting the screens on April 7th. Of course, this is yet to be made official.

Produced by Dil Raju in Telugu, 'Cheliyaa' is touted to be a romantic actioner starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hyadari in lead roles. If it doesn't make it for March, the film will be clashing with Pawan Kalyan's 'Katamarayudu' and Venkatesh's 'Guru', only to face the biggest possible competitor in 'Baahubali-The Conclusion' later in April.

Meanwhile, the teaser of a single released yesterday has mesmerized the fans of both AR Rahman and Mani. The first single track will be released on February 2nd. The audio release is expected to happen later that month.
