'Ponniyin Selvan' makers announce Pan-India release with a brand-new motion poster!

We already broke to you that the magnum opus teaser of Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan' is slated to release later this month. 'PS1' is slated to hit the screens on September 30. Today, the producers took to the social media handles to announce the Pan-Indian release with a new poster.

'Ponniyin Selvan' is an epic historical fiction adapted from the renowned author Kalki's novel of the same name. The story is centred on the conspiracy surrounding the Chola dynasty throne set 1000 years ago. The movie team is all set to begin promotions as Ponniyin Selvan- part 1 gears up for a release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

The motion poster, which was released today by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, featured a pulsating background score composed by AR Rahman. Ilango Krishnan, Kabilan and Venba Geethayan have penned the lyrics and Jeyamohan has written the dialogues. Ravi Varman handles the cinematography while Anthony has served as the film's editor.

Dance master Brindha has choreographed the songs and Thotta Tharani takes care of the production design. 'Ponniyin Selvan' stars Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Parthiban, Prakash Raj, Arjun Chidambaram, Vikram Prabhu, SarathKumar, Prabhu, Kishore, Rahman, Jayaram, Lal, Jayachitra, Riyaz Khan, Sarah and Ashwin Kakumanu.
