The makers of Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan part 1' officially announced the release of the first single, earlier this week. Composed by Oscar Nayagan AR Rahman, the song 'Ponni Nadhi' is slated to be released at 6 PM on July 31. Now, we have exclusive details about the single launch event.

Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies unveiled a new poster of the song. Isai Puyal ARR himself has sung the song while the lyrics is penned by Ilango Krishnan. As per the latest reports, a grand single launch event is planned by the team at the Express Avenue Mall tomorrow at 6 PM. Karthi and Jayam Ravi will be attending the lavish ceremony.

'Ponni Nadhi' track will be the starting point of the story as Vallavarayan Vandhiyathevan travels with his horse near the VeeraNarayana lake on Aadi Perukku (a festival celebrated in the Tamil month of Aadi). 'PS1' is all set to hit the screens worldwide on September 30 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam. Ravi Varman is handling the visuals.
