We all know that 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' is slated for a grand theatrical release on April 28. The cast and crew along with director Mani Ratnam will begin the promotional tour for the magnum opus on April 16. Coimbatore is going to be the first stop for the Cholas as they'll be at the Prozone Mall on Sunday.

Meanwhile, we have brought you the final runtime and censor details of the 'PS-2'. Going by the censor report of the movie obtained from the CBFC official website, Ponniyin Selvan 2 will be 2 hours 44 minutes and 49 seconds long (164.49 mins) which is a few minutes lesser than PS-1. The report also suggests that a word and some gore visuals were toned down.

Sources say that the CBFC has issued a UA certificate for Ponniyin Selvan 2. Jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, PS-2 will hit the screens in five languages in IMAX and 4DX versions worldwide. With music by Isai Puyal AR Rahman, it has cinematography by Ravi Varman and editing by Sreekar Prasad with art direction by Thota Tharrani.

The historical fantasy film stars Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Ashwin Kakamanu, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Vikram Prabhu, Mohan Ram and others. The film franchise is based on author Kalki's epic novel about the Pandya conspiracy surrounding the Chola thrones and its bloodline.
