As the films by second row heroes are making disastrous run in the box office, more and more production houses are turning towards casting Kalabahavan Mani in lead role. At present, Mani's dates are blocked for another 14 months, as he is being flourished with offers.

'I won't allow my films to cross the production costs over one crore. I am ready to work at any level to curb the costs of my films. The films must bring in the profits even within a shot run of three weeks .Otherwise no producer will come forward to produce one in Malayalam.' comments Mani on the secrets of the success of his films in box office.

Mani is presently in the sets of 'Chacko Randaaman' in which he is playing triple roles. Mani will join the film 'Witness Madhavan Kutty' directed by Vibin by the opening week of May. The other Mani films to follow are by eminent directors like Thulasidas, Sai shankar, T.S.Saji, Vinod Vijayan and M.Mani. The immediate releases of Mani in May and June are 'Aandavan' and 'Kali'.
