Mani is the hero and the villain

After a gap of a year, Kalabhavan Mani is again on the lead in the new film titled ÂSwarnamÂ. Directed by Venugopan (of Sharjah To Sharjah and Choonda), the film features Mani as Divakaran, a greedy man who gets a positive change in life after a pilgrimage to Sabarimala.
Based on the story by Sureshbabu which tells about the lives of a rare group of people who makes a living by searching for gold deposits in river banks, the major shooting for the film is already complete. The film marks the reunion of Mani and Praveena who return to the big screen after a gap of six years, playing Radha, the wife of Divakaran. They were last seen together in the blockbuster ÂVasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum'.
The film also features Baby Nayantara Murali, Valsala Menon, Jagathy Sreekumar, Kozhikode Narayanan Nair, Chertala Lalitha and Soniya. Mohan Sitara scores the music in the lyrics of Sarath Chandra Varma for the movie, which will hit the screens for this Vishu.
