The making video of 'Mangalavaaram' convinces us that we can expect the raw and rustic thriller to offer supreme visual quality and breathtaking shots. Just the 'Ganagana Mogalira' song is a pack of 400 shots. The film releases in theatres on November 17.
Writer-director Ajay Bhupathi of 'RX 100' fame and cinematographer Dasaradhi Sivendra must have spent sleepless nights shooting the film in unforgiving terrain. "The artists were so intimately involved that they were completely absorbed in the work. We chose original locations, and shooting some scenes during the peak of summer was not easy. The artists were made to run breathlessly. Underwater shots meant both artists and the cinematographer had to dive into the water," Bhupathi says.
Payal Rajput and Nandita Swetha endorse director of photography Dasaradhi Sivendra's immense talent. Composer Ajaneesh B Loknath's BGM will be something to cherish, the team says.
Producers Swathi Reddy Gunupati and Suresh Varma of Mudhra Media Works & A Creative Works say that the production phase began only after a bounded script was in place.
