Title - MANE TUMBA BARI JAMBA - Producer S Kumar, Direction - KM Arunesh, Music - Sai Gurunath, Cinematography - C Narayan, Cast - Mahendra Munoth, Shashikala, Bank Janardhan, Mahesh, Jagadish, Madhu, Lakshmisha Bhat, Jyothi Gowda, Akshata, Anitha, Rama Rao, Dingri Nagaraj, Ramanand, Mimicry Rajagopal, Junglee Prasanna and others.

A family story tucked with suspense and revealing it at the end is not quite often heard on Kannada silver screen! Director Arunesh and story writer cum producer Kumar deserves kudos. The main problem is in proper and precise style of bringing it on screen. Firstly lack of good performers spoils the probability of a win for the film. All the actors are newcomers. A workshop before acting would have given a new boost.

The return of Major Narasimha to his house is a testing time for the three sons Guru, Vishnu and Mahesh and a daughter Sharada. Close friend of Major Narasimha - Bank Janardhan suggest a new house for his friend and also introduce his three daughters - Ramya, Roopa and Rakshita.

Major Narasimha to test his under graduate sons and a daughter hand over a book to all the four and asks them to get ready for an examination in 10 days time. Three sons of Major Narasimha take the support of three daughters of Bank Janardhan. Sharada daughter of Major Narasimha finds new entrant to the house Kumar very interesting.

The Ego (Jamba) of four plus three starts at this point of time and they want to outsmart to win the heart of Major Narasimha. In the ego clash they miss the important book given to them. The issue of major test for children from Major Narasimha takes back seat when one of his sons is identified for terrorist link.

Mahender Munnoth playing the role of Major Narasimha is unconvincing. There was scope for charged up performance from him. The four plus three does not worth mentioning. The role of Kumar is interesting.

There was need for good dialogues for this quite interesting storyline film. Editing is not crisp. Cinematography is not in high standards like the presentation of the film.

This could have been interesting television serial.

Score - 5/10
