Recently, actor-producer Manchu Vishnu said that he will be financing the construction costs of a new building for the Movie Artists Association. He and his family will be bearing the entire costs whenever the construction begins. As a first step, a piece of land has to be zeroed in on in Hyderabad.
The news is that Vishnu has shortlisted three plots in the city. In a video message on Saturday, the 'Dhee' actor said that the best location will be finalized at a meeting of the MAA soon. "It has been MAA's dream to have its own building. The dream is soon going to come true. The best location will be finalized consensually," the actor said.
In July, the 'D&D' actor promised that he and his family members are going to contribute every single penny needed for the construction of the long-delayed MAA building. "A building for the MAA has remained an unfulfilled agenda for the past 12 years. Seven years ago, when I was the Executive VP of MAA, I promised in the presence of ANR garu that I and my family will donate 25% of the funds needed for the construction. I am now saying we will give 100%. Let's not bother about the issue," Vishnu said at that time.
As is known, Vishnu is in the race for the post of the MAA President, the elections for which will be held soon.
