Manchu Vishnu, who was elected the MAA President in September last year, has said that the Bhumi Puja for an MAA building will be held in six months. In this regard, preparations are on at a break-neck speed, he suggested.
As the President of the esteemed organization, Vishnu said that the welfare and health of MAA's members are his primary responsibility. The 'Dhee' actor added that the rules for the new membership in MAA have been made stringent.
He also said that he has been silent on the issue of ticket price hikes (during the release of big-ticket movies). "They have criticized me over my silence in the past. The same people are today saying that price hikes are resulting in problems (in the form of muted demand for many movies after the first weekend)," Vishnu said, suggesting that the hikes have to be decided on a case-by-case basis now that the support of the governments (in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) is assured.
In February this year, Vishnu said that he has plans to build a studio in Tirupathi.
