Manchu Vishnu is a huge admirer of Modi despite Vizag Steel Plant issue

There has been a hue and cry over the proposed privatization of the Vizag steel plant. A number of civil society persons and politicians have demanded that the celebs of the Telugu film industry must condemn the Centre's decision. Recently, during the promotions of 'Mosagallu', Manchu Vishnu was asked to comment on the issue. The actor said that all Telugu celebs, including himself, are against the proposed privatization. He added that just because they are not tweeting against it, it doesn't mean that they support the proposal.

In this regard, Vishnu has been misquoted as saying that he used to be a fan of Narendra Modi but is not one any longer. On Tuesday, the 'Doosukeltha' star clarified that he is still a huge admirer of the Prime Minister. "Bruh! I am still a huge admirer of Shri @narendramodi. Never said I wasn’t (sic)," the actor said, refuting the inaccurate reportage.

The actor once said that he believes in Hindutva. In 2017, when a BJP spokesperson said that actors have low IQ, Vishnu retorted and tweeted, "I am a Hindu and I am married to a Christian. I strongly believe and practice Hindutva and I am proud to say it. I say this because what I said ain’t political. I respect BJP immensely and am a fan of Modiji. Respect!"

'Mosagallu', meanwhile, is heading for a theatrical release on March 19.
