It was on 6 August 2004 that Manchu Manoj made a lead debut in films with 'Donga Dongadi'. While he had acted as a child artist in 'Major Chandrakanth', 'Adavilo Anna' and 'Khaidhigaru', his proper acting debut happened in 2004 at a time when pressure was high on newcomers.
As he completes 18 years in the industry, Manoj thanked his fans, audiences, producers, technicians and everyone who contributed to his success. The journey, he said, has helped him grow both as an actor and an individual. "I am here today because of all the trust and love you guys showered on me. A special shout-out to my movie producers NV Prasad garu and Ashok garu," Manoj said.
The 'Nenu Meeku Telusa...?', 'Bindaas' and 'Jhummandi Naadam' actor thanked his fans for keeping him close to their hearts during his absence in the film industry. He said that he has been on a much-needed break. Manoj hinted that he is going to be back soon.
The 'Attack' and 'Gunturodu' actor also thanked his family for being the backbone throughout his "healing process".
