As Dasari Narayana Rao said at an event recently, her entry into films was criticized by many and her Hollywood-ish Telugu, her conduct and get-go have raised many an eyebrow. She didn’t blink. She went ahead and did what she is good at, presenting herself, selling her talent and if she was criticized, she used the critique to her own promotion and very quickly, she not only acted on big and small screens but she has hosted a successful TV show and produced a very well carved out film.

Manchu Lakshmi is the true scion of Manchu family and the next gen embodiment of the versatile, often controversial, do-it-on-your-face and above all, philanthropic Mohan Babu. Lakshmi celebrated her birthday today on the sets of her family film happening at RFC, in which all the Manchu men are acting. She was also joined by her sister in law Veronica and two nieces Ariyana and Viviyana, actors Varun Sandesh, Brahmanandam, veteran director Raghavendra Rao, director Srivas and Supreet.
