Manchester United player tests positive for COVID-19

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, as a result of which he has been dropped out of France squad announced Thursday for next month's Nations League matches against Sweden and Croatia.

Manchester United revealed the news in an statement which read, Pogba has been replaced in the squad after testing positive for COVID-19. The midfielder will be unable to add to his 69 caps and 10 goals for his country in the games next month. Everybody at United wishes Paul a speedy recovery ahead of the new season. Coach Didier Deschamps announced the same in another statement, mentioning that he has been omitted from the France squad. I had to make a change at the last minute because Paul Pogba was supposed to be in the squad. Unfortunately he underwent a test yesterday (Wednesday) which was revealed to be positive this morning, Deschamps stated. Paul Pogba has been replaced by Eduardo Camavinga, who plays for Ligue 1 side Rennes. Additionally, Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has been recalled in the French team post Pogba's exit. Regarding Martial's inclusion, Deschamps said, Since the World Cup, three or four times he was due to be part of our squad, for various different reasons it didn't happen. With what he has been doing since last season, now he is back in the squad.

The French team will consist of the following players -
