Chandrasekhar Yeleti's human drama Manamantha, produced by Sai Korrapati, features two very talented actors in important roles - Mohanlal and Gauthami. While the Malayalam superstar is playing a lead role for the first time in a Telugu film (he is also dubbing for himself), the much familiar Gauthami is making a comeback of sorts with this one.

Revolving around four characters, who are at different phases in their life: childhood (Mahitha, a school girl), youth (Abhiram, an engineering student), and adulthood (Gayathri, a housewife and Sairam, an asst. manager at a supermarket), the film will be released as Vismayam in Malayalam (straight) and Namadhu in Tamil (dubbed).

Of the four characters, let's see what Gayathri is like in the movie.

"Gayathri is a middle-class Indian woman in the film. She leads a simple life, is married and is a family-oriented woman. She is educated, intelligent, but lives in a family with limited resources. Gauthami`s authentic looks, veritable emotions make the character one of the bests in her career. Gauthami and Urvashi`s comedy episodes are meant to be the most entertaining portions," the makers say.

Also starring Viswant, Raina Rao, Anisha Ambrose (of Run fame), Urvasi, Nassar, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Parachuri Venkateswara Rao, Vennela Kishore, Dhanraj, Praveen, Naveen Neni, Harshavardhan, Ayyappa P Sharma, etc.

Music is by Mahesh Shankar. Cinematography is by Rahul Sreevasthav.
