Title - Mana Mechchida Bangaru, Producer - Bangaru Hanumanthu, Direction - Om Saiprakash, Music - K Kalyan, Cinematography - R Giri, Cast - Bangaru Hanumanthu, Roja, Srinivasamurthy, Ravishanker, Ramesh Bhat, Sadhu Kokila, Shobaraj and others. A senior director of Kannada cinema Om Saiprakash with 98 films to his credit falls flat in this `Mana Mechchida Bangaru'. It is nothing but a waste of nearly Rs.2.5 crores for producer Bangaru Hanumanthu.
Om Saiprakash has not lived up to the present generation expectation. It is a routine and elastic narration of worn out subject. Hanumanthu Bangaru must have taken training in acting before making this debut. Ravishanker as transgender also bores at places with hapless Shobaraj a corrupt cop.
The required speed, strong dialogues for action hero, lovely screenplay and fine concept is missing. A mechanic Bangaru taking on Maharani (Ravishanker) is the crux of this film. Maharani is supported by corrupt cop. The beautiful Mamata (Roja) in the hands of brothel house owner Maharani is kidnapped by Bangaru for safety. The fight against retrieval of Mamata by Maharani and cop is end part of this film. There is nothing inspiring or novel in narration.
Bangaru alias Bangaru Hanumanthu has believed in the seniority of Om Saiprakash and faltered. He has height and suits action. Rest of the lessons he has to take to burn a few more crores of rupees. Comedy track of Sadhu Kokila is slightly better.
Roja as debutant is competent enough to stay in this arch light. Ravishanker as eunuch has regular stuff. Shobaraj as cop is convincing.
Two songs are quite OK in melody. Camera work of Giri and Narayan gives required mood and brightness. No compulsion.
Score - 3/10
