Recently, a man attacked tourists at an Egyptian resort near the Red Sea, killing two Ukrainian women and injuring four. The police are investigating the motive of the killings and have said that the man swam from a nearby public beach.

Egypt is facing a threat from an Islamist insurgency and the tourism industry is taking a hit. Security forces in the country are on high alert.
