In a heart-wrenching video that has surfaced online, a late pregnant woman is seen talking about Covid-19 being a serious threat and how it should not be ignored. The video message was recorded days before her death and was uploaded by her husband Ravish Chawla online.
Sharing the video on Mother's day, Ravish Chawla had captioned his post, "I lost my pregnant wife and our unborn child to covid. She breathed her last on 26/4/21 and our unborn child a day earlier. She got covid positive on 11/4 and even during her suffering she had made the above video on 17/4 warning others not to take this covid lightly. She was completely devoted to motherhood and went to heavens with our unborn child to take care of him and left our 3.5 year child to me. Happy Mother's Day Dipika." The woman had contracted the infection during the seventh month of her pregnancy and her unborn child died in her womb a day before she passed away.
Ravish Chawla attached a picture of their 3-year-old son as well. Later, he reportedly said, "My three-and-a-half-year-old son has gone quiet. When his mother was hospitalised, he would see people praying to God and would say, 'God, please cure Mumma'. But now, whenever her name comes up, people break down. He has also stopped asking us when she will come back. It seems as if he knows. Sometimes, he still asks about her but is quiet most of the time when he sees our family picture."
