A person named Sanjay Patel passed away after two cows came in his way as he was riding a motorcycle in Ahmedabad last year September, as the accident lead to brain hemorrhage. However, now it has been learnt that a case has been filed against Sanjay himself, with his father's testimony that his son was involved in rash driving.
Sanjay Patel worked in a car dealership firm, and as per police, no cases have been filed as accidental death case across 14 police stations in the city, but the reality is that his case was an accidental death, where people had let their cattle stray on roads, troubling the vehicles and drivers.
However in Sanjay's case his father was told to visit the police station and was forced to sign the FIR where it was written that Sanjay had died because of rash driving and he was responsible for his own death. While it was the mistake of cattle owners who let the cows enter the road suddenly that caused his death, Gujarat DCP Tejas Patel has said that it is difficult to trace the cattle owners and that is the reason FIR is filed this way.
