With the #MeToo movement gaining traction, a lot of women have been coming forward to share their horrific tales of harassment and suffering. However, one must understand that even men face the issue but many are unwilling to come out and say it. This story is proof that men should too voice out.
Sachin Mitkari is a 38-year-old man from Maharashtra. He works in a hospital where he was frustrated by a woman colleague’s demand for sex. Shockingly, on Monday the cops found him hanging from a ceiling in his residence. Neighbors who had noticed this alerted the cops. His body has been sent to post-mortem.
In his suicide note, the victim has said that the woman was harassing him and forced him to have a sexual relationship with her. Reportedly the woman continued to pressure the man despite being told that he was married. She had also threatened and blackmailed with a police case on him. With currently the #MeToo trend catching up, it’s important that men too should be given a space to voice out the issues they face.
