It turns out that Nagarjuna Reddy allegedly cheated even D Suresh Babu, the senior film producer. As per media reports, the person in question called up the Suresh Productions supremo and promised that he will supply 500 doses of a coronavirus vaccine. Suresh Babu transferred Rs 1 lakh to his bank account. After receiving the amount, Reddy switched off his mobile. A close aide of the producer has since lodged a police complaint.
The person allegedly committed the offences by posing as a PA to Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao.
After the Cyberabad Crime Police arrested him last week, he was shifted to the Sangareddy jail. He is currently on judicial remand.
