Mellifluous singer Mamtha Mohandas bagged the Film Fare award for her first song in ‘Rakhi’ and is a favorite among Telugu audience.

‘Aakalesthe annam pedatha’ sung by Mamtha in ‘Shankar Dada Zindabad’ bought her singing talent to limelight. She also crooned for ‘Yamadonga’, ‘Tulasi’ and ‘King’.

Even though, she’s known as an actress in Tamil very few knew that she could sing so well till now. Mamtha Mohandas voiced the remake version of ‘Akalesthe’ in the recent Tamil film ‘Villu’ starring Vijay and Nayanthara.

The song that goes like ‘Daddy…Mummy…Veetil Illai’ is the latest sensation all over Chennai and the most wanted mobile ring tone this season. Famous music director, late Ravindran’s son, Naveen Madhav crooned beside Mamtha for this song. Devi Sri Prasad has rehashed the number from Telugu that had become a chartbuster hit.
