The latest buzz doing rounds in Malluwood industry is that Mamta Mohandas has backed out of Keerthichakra and she has been replaced by Lakshmi Gopalaswamy.

The film directed by Major Ravi depicts the real life struggles faced by the army commandos serving in the borders. Mohanlal had earlier played the role of an army commando in a Sathyan Anthikad movie Pingami.

The bi-lingual (to be made in Tamil too) has Gopika playing the heroine. Jeeva, son of popular producer R B Choudhary, will play the second hero.

Mamta, who was on a high after Lanka and Madhuchandralekha, it seems has walked out of the project.

More news is awaited.
