Mamta Mohandas opts out of 'Detroit Crossing' - Here's why!

Prithviraj will be teaming up with debut director Nirmal Sahadev for an upcoming English-Malayalam crossover movie titled 'Detroit Crossing'. Earlier, it was officially confirmed that Mamta Mohandas will be playing the female lead. Now, the latest update is that Isha Talwar ha replaced Mamta for the role.
Confirming the same, director Nirmal said that Mamta had to opt out from the movie as the dates clashed with that of her upcoming movie with Fahadh Faasil titled Carbon.
Detroit Crossing is being shot in the US, and revolves around gang wars involving Tamils in Detroit. Prithviraj's character is part of a Tamil street gang in Detroit in the movie, which is a neo-noir film with violence as part of the plot. Reportedly, Detroit Crossing will have both the English and Malayalam versions. The makers are in talks for releasing the English version in the US. The shoot of the movie has already started.
