Denying reports that she was affected by swine flu, Mamta Mohandas says she had to be admitted to a hospital to undergo a minor operation.

“There was a small boil on my chest. Hence I had to go under the scalpel to remove it. There is no truth in the reports that I was affected by swine flu,” the actress, who is now doing well, says.

Saying that she had to walk out of a couple of projects due to the “operation”, Mamta says she would enter Bollywood next year. “I can’t reveal much about my Hindi project. But the film will go on floors in 2010,” she says.

She also says Bollywood is a perfect destination for south Indian actresses. “Hindi cinema is the right place to reach pan-Indian audience,” she says.

Mamta, who stepped into Tamil film industry with Vishal starrer ‘Sivapadhikaram’, later acted opposite Madhavan in ‘Guru En Aalu’. The Mollywood girl is equally popular in Telugu and Malayalam cinema too.
