West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee has declared that Modi's governance is set to end soon. The conflict between West Bengal government and CBI after the latter wanted to investigate West Bengal police chief, has gained momentum, as Mamta Banerjee launched a hunger strike, calling it a Satyagraha for protecting the constitution.
Earlier, 40 CBI officials had stormed into Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar's residence, branding him an accused in a scam, but to their shock, they were arrested by Kolkata cops and detained in police station, as they had come without a warrant to arrest him. The showdown between Mamta and the central government is at an all time high, as earlier the West Bengal government had denied permission to BJP for conducting road shows.
Speaking about the developments, Mamta said that the central government must be dissolved soon, and challenged them to do whatever they can. She said that West Bengal is stronger, and is ready to face whatever the central government does, and even if President's rule is implemented, they are ready to face it. She challenged them to check the history to see how West Bengal has fought injustice in the past, adding that her Satyagraha will continue to save the constitution, as the country will face an end if this central government rule continues.
