Mamta Mohandas returns to Malayalam after a beginning in Tamil film industry. Her debut film Sivapathikaram in Tamil opposite Vishal did a decent run at the box office.

Her brief absence meant a hunting ground for the likes of Kavya Madhavan, Padmapriya and Gopika in Malluwood. However the actress is back with a bang in Malayalam.

She now acts opposite Mammootty in Big B. Interestingly, she replaces Padmapriya for the role. The film is directed by Amal Neerad. She had paired with Mamootty before in Bus Conductor.
