The shoot of Mammootty starrer 'Thoppil Joppan' has begun. The crew is currently shooting at Kochi. The movie is being directed by Johny Anthony. The movie will have Mammootty play the role of an ardent Kabaddi enthusiast. It is reported that he owns a team too.

'Thoppil Joppan' will be shot at Kottayam, Pala and Kattapana too. Nisha Koya who scripted 'Madhura Naranga' has scripted this movie. Mammootty jas just wrapped up Nithin Renji Panikar's 'Kasaba' to join 'Thoppil Joppan'.
