Mammootty's 'The Priest' release postponed again!

The release of Mammotty's much-awaited movie ' The Priest' has been postponed again. The movie which was slated to hit the big screens on March 4, is postponed as the government is yet to grant permission to start the second show in theatres. As the theatres record a huge number of family audiences for second shows, the makers decided to not release the film until the government allows the shows. Also, theatres are not functioning in many parts of the world, including Dubai, Saudi, Oman.
The movie's director Jofin T Chacko himself took to his Facebook page and confirmed the news. “We expected that the government will allow second shows from March 1. But no order has been issued in this regard. So, let’s wait until everything gets favourable. As a diehard fan of Mammukka, me and ‘The Priest’ team are eagerly waiting to watch my first movie in theatres,” wrote the director.
‘The Priest’, the big-budget thriller and family entertainer features Mammootty and Manju Warrier in the lead roles. Actors Nikhila Vimal, Baby Monicka, Saniya Iyappan, Jagadish, Ramesh Pisharody, Venkitesh and Sivadas Kannur are playing important roles in the movie. Produced under the banner Anto Joseph Film Company and RD Illuminations, director Jofin T Chacko has penned the story of the movie.
Meanwhile, the release of Mohanlal’s much-awaited magnum opus Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham which was slated to release on March 26 has been postponed to May 13. The movie will be locking horns with Fahadh Faasil’s Malik and Nivin Pauly’s Thuramukham on May 13.
