Mammootty's 'Pathemari' narrowly misses out on Oscar selection

Among the jury for Oscar selection of Indian films to the 88th Academy Awards for foreign language films, were Dr Biju, Ramachandrababu and K. Madhu. It has been said that 'Pathemari' had a close run, but finally could not make it.
The movie directed by Salim Ahamed narrowly missed out on the Oscar selection. Instead the movie which got selected was 'Court'. It would have been a huge boost for the movie if it was selected.
