According to the latest update, Mammootty's upcoming political thriller 'One', is set to arrive in theatres by the first week of April. The team has already begun their first round of promotions and is gearing up to release the trailer of the flick soon.

'One’ is scripted by National award winners Bobby-Sanjay. Directed by Santosh Vishwanath, the movie will see Mammootty playing a chief minister for the first time in Malayalam. Mammootty’s character in the film is named as Kadakkal Chandran. The Megastar has last played Andhra Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, in last year’s 'Yatra'.

Actors Joju George, Ranjith, Nimisha Sajayan, Mathew Thomas, Shanker Ramakrishnan, Salim Kumar, and Murali Gopi will appear in important roles. Vaidy Somasundaram is the DOP. The music department is handled by Gopi Sunder. Sreelakshmi R is producing the film under the banner of Ichais Productions and Anto Joseph Film Company is releasing the film in Kerala.
