The shooting of the new Mammootty starrer Mayavi will start by the fifteenth of this month. This film is directed by Shafi who has made the super hit Thommanum Makkalum last year, with Mammootty.

Thommanum Makkalum was the film which started giving a new image for Mammootty in lighter comic roles. The trend setter was well followed by a number of hits like Taskaraveeran, Rajamaanikyam, Thuruppu Ghulan and now Pothen Vava.

This new flick Mayavi which is scripted by the super hit writer - director duo Rafi Mecartin, will narrate another delightful comedy with plenty of twists and turns as usual in a Rafi Mecartin script.

The film produced by Vaishakha films will be shot in and around Ernakulam. The film will feature Gopika again in the female lead. Their last film together has shown good chemistry in Pothen Vava and the film which is in theatres is making good revenues.
