Mammootty's ambitious project Mamankam to be directed by Sajeev Pillai is one of the most anticipated movies of 2018. The team is currently finalizing the cast and crew for the project, and the latest update is that M Jayachandran will be doing the music of the upcoming Mammootty starrer. Music director Jayachandran himself announced about this through his Facebook post. 

His Facebook post reads,” Here I am, in Dubai, with my producer & dear brother Shri Venu, director Shri Sajeev pillai & lyric writer Shri Ajay Gopal, composing music for the upcoming epic film project ‘MAMANKAM’ starring Mammootty Sir. It is a musical too …It is indeed a great honor to compose music for the film & I feel proud to be part of team MAMANKAM…..I love Dubai & the ambiance here has inspired me to compose songs so close to my heart…Thanks to Venuchettan for believing in me & extending all the support….Updates on the project will follow from time to time…” 

Produced by Venu Kunnapally under the banner of Kavya Films, Mamankam is expected to have many top actors and technicians on board. The first schedule of Mamankam will begin in February 2018 in Mangalapuram. 

Meanwhile, on the first of new year, Mammootty will be seen acting in Abrahaminte Santhathikal, to be directed by newcomer Shaji Pattoor. Joby George is producing the film under the banner of Goodwill Entertainment.
