In the upcoming year, Mammootty will be seen acting in Abrahaminte Santhathikal, to be directed by newcomer Shaji Pattoor. 'The Great Father' movie director Haneefa Adeni is scripting the film. Now, the latest we hear is that the shooting of Abrahaminte Santhathikal will begin on January 1, 2018 with a special pooja. It is reported that the initial portions of the film will be shot in Ernakulam. 

The movie will feature Mammootty in the role of a stylish cop. The team is currently finalizing the cast and is expected to make an official announcement on the same soon. Joby George is producing the film under the banner of Goodwill Entertainment, who had produced Mammootty's controversial cop story Kasaba, directed by Nithin Renji Panicker.
