Days back we have mentioned Mammootty's changing priorities in the selection of films. After Prajapathi and Bharghava Charitham, our mega star has decided to do good meaningful cinema.

And the news today is that Mammootty has postponed the shoot of his earlier Christmas project, Shafi's Mayavi and decided to go ahead with Blessy's project.

This film titled as Palunku is about the life of a middle-aged farmer in the hilly areas of Idukki who becomes a path breaker for the farming community.

The other important role in the film will be presented by Jagathy Sreekumar who has not acted with Mammootty for a long time. As usual, Blessy will go for another new face as the heroine.

Blessy, known for his keen sense of detailing and visual rhythm is sure to extract another spell-binding performance from the great actor as their previous outing together in Kazcha has become a milestone in Malayalam film history.

Santhosh Thundil, Karan Johar's favorite Malayalee cameraman, is going to be the lensman for Palunku and the film will start rolling in Idukki from October 3.

This film will be produced in the banner of Dream Team productions by Howli Pottur who is currently in the making of Photographer with Mohanlal.
